A veteran journalist, dedicated to reporting the latest smartphone technology innovations. He tests all methods himself to provide an unbiased how-to piece on all iPhone issues.

"My iPhone is acting up again. Why am I not able to access it?" Is this the situation you are facing right now? Well, if yes then it's your lucky day as I am going to discuss this issue and 5 different methods to unlock your disabled iPhone at length in this guide. What did you say? You don't have any technical background to follow this guide? Absolutely not a problem because it comes with the easiest steps that a non-tech person can also follow.

Why is my iPhone disabled?

Before getting to the methods, you must be wondering why my iPhone acts like this and is disabled? Where did I go wrong? Well, the reason why your iPhone is disabled is that you or anyone from people near you intentionally or unintentionally entered too many wrong passwords. Kids often enter too many wrong attempts unintentionally as they play around.

Apple is very concerned about their users' data and privacy so it locks your iPhone if there is a security issue like someone attempting to unlock your passcode. If your iPhone shows "iPhone is disabled, try again in X minutes" you still have a chance to enter the right passcode and access it. But if it prompts "iPhone is disabled connect to iTunes" then you are completely locked out.
